that moment.  (x)

i’d been riding for almost ten years and i couldn’t really remember having that ‘moment’. even with my own horse that i owned for three years, i’ve never had a moment quite like that first day i rode ovation. something clicked, something i wouldn’t understand at the moment. i rode better then i had in months, and i just got on her. in just one lesson, one ride, i had so much confidence, so much hope for the future. i hope every equestrian can feel like that one day, it makes being in this sport truly worth it. i only wish i could’ve had more then a month with her. rest in peace ovie.
